What this tool does
Barcelona's Gaudí trio is the most-booked attraction cluster in Spain. Sagrada Familia alone sold 4.8 million tickets in 2024. The default advice — "book online, do it" — is incomplete. There are 4 different ticket types per site, time-slot logic, tower entry considerations, and a cheap day-of-week trick.
This tool outputs the cheapest valid combination, the right booking lead time, and the tower-side choice if you're climbing Sagrada Familia.
The three Sagrada tower sides
- Nativity Facade (Passion side): East side. Best morning light (sun hits east at sunrise). Taller, more scenic. The Nativity Tower is being restored but accessible.
- Passion Facade (Birth side): West side. Best afternoon light (sun hits west at sunset). Steeper stairs. Symbol-heavy sculptures.
- Why it matters: Barcelona has harsh sun. If you want photos, time your side. Mornings = Nativity. Late afternoons = Passion.
Frequently asked questions
Can I buy Sagrada Familia tickets the same day?
Sometimes, but risky. Walk-up queues can be 1.5+ hours in peak months. Same-day online is possible but specific timeslots sell out 2–3 days before in summer and Easter. Book 30+ days ahead in peak season.
Is Park Güell worth it?
Yes for the monumental zone (€10). Skip if you only want the free park area — the free area is small and crowded. Best visited at opening (9:30) or after 17:00 to avoid the worst of the day-trip crowd.
Casa Batlló vs La Pedrera — which one?
Casa Batlló (€35) is more iconic (the dragon-roof facade). La Pedrera (€25) has the better rooftop and a 1900s apartment recreation. If you only visit one, Batlló. Both include audio guides and the VR experience now.
Are combined tickets worth it?
Sagrada Familia + Park Güell + Casa Batlló + Casa Milà combo through Turisme de Barcelona saves €8–12. Sagrada + Park Güell alone (sold at Sagrada) saves €4.
Limitations
Ticket prices and availability change year to year. The Sagrada Familia towers are intermittently closed for restoration (2024–2026). Check the official site the day before you go.
